If you have a room that is in need of a little sprucing up, a plant is a great way to bring a little life to it! If you’re looking for a plant with a purpose, we’d highly suggest Aloe Vera. Aloe is also a very hearty plant, which means it’s easy to keep alive; they don’t need much tending to or water. 

 

Beyond being aesthetically pleasing, there are so many benefits to aloe vera! It has antibacterial properties and is soothing and moisturizing for the skin which makes it excellent to treat minor burns and sunburns as well. 

 

You’ll want to use the outermost, thickest leaves, cutting them at the base. You’ll then want to carefully use a knife to remove the green/outer portion of the plant and use the clear jelly in the middle and apply it gently to the affected areas of skin. 

 

Pro tip - cut extra to put in the fridge and reapply every couple hours for some extra cool relief!
